Estate Planning And Its Role Within Our Life Transitions With Michelle Cooper

When creating an estate plan for a client there are several questions to consider. Such as, who is named as the executor or executrix? What will happen when your client passes away? Are there assets managed by another firm? Is there a corporate institution named as an executor?

In this episode, Michelle Cooper from XML Financial Group sheds light on what you need to know when helping your clients create a sound estate plan—especially when a life transition such as a divorce, separation or a birth of a child impacts the plan. Michelle discusses a number of estate planning strategies you can adopt to ease the process for you and your client.

Michelle Discusses:
• The difference between a will and an estate plan
• The documentation you should review before creating an estate plan for your client
• Some positive changes that come out of a separation
• Tips on overcoming sudden life changes and ways you can pick yourself back up, creating new financial plans
